Southeast Bangkok University Announces Landmark Partnership with the University of Chichester, UK
Southeast Bangkok University (SBU) is delighted to announce a significant academic partnership with the University of Chichester, United Kingdom, marking the launch of “Chichester Bangkok.” This innovative dual-degree programme enables students to study in Thailand while earning UK-recognised qualifications.
Dr. Somsak Rungruang, President of Southeast Bangkok University, shared that this collaboration reflects the vision of borderless education—bringing global standards directly to learners and equipping them with critical thinking skills, English proficiency, and genuine global citizenship for the international workplace.
Professor Symeon Dagkas, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chichester, expressed strong confidence in SBU as a strategic partner in Asia. He emphasized that Chichester Bangkok will offer students access to world-class education, uniquely blending British academic rigour with the dynamic Asian context.
Beyond academic excellence, this initiative helps address brain drain, develops high-skilled and work-ready graduates for the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and supports Thailand’s ambition to become an ASEAN Education Hub—strengthening the nation’s knowledge-based economy in a sustainable way.

มหาวิทยาลัยเซาธ์อีสท์บางกอก (SBU) มีความยินดีอย่างยิ่งในการประกาศความร่วมมือทางวิชาการครั้งสำคัญกับ University of Chichester สหราชอาณาจักร เปิดตัวโครงการ “Chichester Bangkok” โมเดลการศึกษานานาชาติรูปแบบใหม่ ที่เปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษา เรียนในประเทศไทย แต่ได้รับคุณวุฒิระดับสหราชอาณาจักร (Dual Degree)
ดร.สมศักดิ์ รุ่งเรือง อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยเซาธ์อีสท์บางกอก กล่าวว่า ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้สะท้อนวิสัยทัศน์ของการศึกษายุคใหม่ที่ไร้พรมแดน โดยมุ่งนำมาตรฐานสากลมาสู่ผู้เรียนอย่างแท้จริง เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ ภาษาอังกฤษ และความเป็น Global Citizen ที่สามารถทำงานได้ในเวทีนานาชาติ

ความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงช่วยลดปัญหา Brain Drain แต่ยังเป็นการร่วมกันพัฒนากำลังคนทักษะสูง เพื่อรองรับการเติบโตของ เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก (EEC) และสนับสนุนเป้าหมายของประเทศไทยในการก้าวสู่การเป็น ASEAN Education Hub อย่างยั่งยืน
